We are drawing on our experience and embarking on an exciting new mentoring and development scheme aimed at cultivating the writing skills of talented authors and screenwriters by working with industry professionals, as well as providing insight and advice on how to bridge the gap between talent and industry. The scheme will run over the course of six months and will include one to one sessions with agent Sophie Lambert and acclaimed author Tod Wodicka, written reports and detailed feedback, as well as a group session. The best candidates will be considered for representation by Tibor Jones & Associates. What will set the scheme apart is that all aspiring authors and screenwriters will have a friend in the industry they can learn from. We run two courses each year – starting in September and March.
The group session will take place at the Tibor Jones office in Brixton, other sessions will take place at location and time agreed by both parties. The total cost for the six month scheme will be £500 + VAT. Candidates should already have completed or almost completed a screenplay or a novel or a nonfiction project. Interested candidates should submit approx 15 pages of a screenplay or 5,000 words of narrative, plus a CV and any questions to sophie@tiborjones.com (for fiction and nonfiction narrative) or to adam@tiborjones.com (for screenwriting).
